Patasals With the Grace of His Holiness Sri Sri Paramacharyal and with the direction of Sri Sri Sankaracharyas of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti peetam the four Patasalas are situated in very significant locations.
Kalavai is a small town located at about 45 kms from Kanchipuram, in the Vellore District of Tamilnadu. The town is historically significant for the Sankara Madam, and houses the Adhistanams (place where the mortal remains of a Saint are interred) of the 66th and 67th pontiffs of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam – Sri Chandrasekarendra Sarswathi the VII and Sri Mahadevendra Saraswathi the V. The 68th Pontiff His Holiness Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swami was initiated into ascetic order and ordained as the 68th Acharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Math at Kalavai. It is also a place where His Holiness Paramacharyal has stayed and blessed people for a very long period of time.
Orikkai – A great Mani Mandapam has been built for Pujyasri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamiji, 68th Shankaracharya of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. It is situated about five km from Kanchi and the consecration of mani mandapam was done on 28th Jan, 2011.
Chrompet (Chennai) where with the direction and blessings of His Holiness Sri Paramacharyal a Kanchi Kamakoti Peeda Vayasa Bharatha Kaladhi Sadhas Samajam, a Public Charitable Trust was established with the intention of supporting patasalas.
Madipakkam (Chennai) patasala is situated in a land and building donated by one of the ardent devotee of Paramacharya to Kanchi mutt.

Kalavai Guruparampara Veda Vidya Trust (KGVVT) was established in the year 1996 with the blessings of their Holiness Sri Sri Sankaracharyas of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. KGVVT is running patasalas at Kalavai, Orikkai, Madipakkam and Chrompet. In these four patasalas Rig, Krishna Yajur and Sama Vedas are being taught to the vidayarthis. These four patasalas have over 125 Vidhyarthees who are in various stages of Vedic Education and are being taught by Ten Eminent Highly Qualified Vedic Scholars.
1. On every Anusham Day – the birth star of His Holiness Parmacharyal, an Avahanthi Homam is performed by the Adyahpaks in all the three patasalas with the participation of all Vidyarthis.
2. Bhajans are conducted in the evening of every Anusham day at Chrompet.
3. Besides imparting vedic knowledge Sanskrit, English and Mathematics are also taught to the students.
4. The Veda Students are actively encouraged to develop cultural and fine arts talents in the patasalas. The students conduct Sanskrit dramas on every Adhi Shankara jayanthi and participate in Geeta recitation competition.
5. Vidharthis participate in various vedic competition held in the city from time to time.
